"The little chicken that doodle dooe'd"

I wrote this story about a little chicken that was gender mixed up and was really a rooster! This is a true story told to me by a chicken farmer who had visited mt store! Every time i read my story to well...anyone,they would laugh and enjoyed it! Once printed and on my book release ,many parents and grandparents did not want to buy them because they didn't want their kids to read about transgender. While the topic could certainly lend itself to this very really issue...it was really just about a little rooster growing up as a chicken only to find out she was a he! When I released it in Toronto at a Chapters ,I was worried about reaction,but instead was met with joy and excitement for my little chicken/rooster ! Just goes to show you need to follow your own path and not worry about closed minds! Lesson learned!
